Glenn Palmer-Smith graduated with a BA from Central Michigan, an MA from Wayne State University in Michigan and an MFA from the University of Utah. He began his fine art career working for the art department at Sports Illustrated Magazine and shooting photography for Time Life Books. Launching his career into fashion photography and advertisements, he later landed work with YM, Seventeen, Vogue London, Cosmopolitan, Cover Girl and Revlon. His photography career prompted travels across Europe and he eventually landed in New York in the 1980s. It was then that he opened a fashion photography and advertisement agency. By 2000 Glenn closed his agency and returned to painting. His paintings, drawings and photographs are exhibited throughout New York, and included in the permanent collections throughout the US. Lately, Glenn Palmer-Smith is recognized as a successful muralist, publishing the book Murals of New York City in 2013. He is currently working toward his second publication, and lives in Harlem, NY.
