Artist Bio

San Francisco artist Tobias Tovera explores the fluidity of pigment in his abstract works that capture dreamscapes of psychedelic color. Like dye expanding in water, Tovera’s pigments curl, mingle and expand with meteoric momentum exploring the beauty in entropy, chaos and order. Tovera obtained a BFA in sculpture from the California College of the Arts, San Francisco in 2001 and an MFA in painting from the residency program at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2011. His work has been exhibited throughout the Bay Area and was recently published in The Collective Magazine and Knock Magazine.
