Japanese label Visvim was founded in 2000 by designer Hiroki Nakamuru. Nakamura developed a deep appreciation for American style as a child. After years of living in Alaska and then working at Burton Snowboards, Nakamuru founded his own brand. Channelling the spirit of Americana, Nakamuru began Visvim with sneakers as the focus, but eventually branched into men’s ready-to-wear and leather goods. The brand is now well-known for its moccasin boots, sleek outerwear, heavy-duty denim and luxe streetwear pieces.
