Ready to sell? Let's get started.
How Your Items Are Priced
We always use a mix of data and human expertise. We want you to understand all the ins and outs, but maybe it's more fun if we show you first...
What Determines Price?
We consider four primary factors. This is how we think about it:

Demand
We track what brands are trending, what pieces are selling out, and what shoppers are searching for.

Availability
We also track what's available - not just on our site, but on the broader resale and primary markets.

Condition
We accept a range of conditions from Pristine to As Is, and in most cases, better condition means higher price.
Our Pricing Process
We process over one million unique items a month. Here's how we do it:

Step One: Evaluate
We examine 170+ attributes - things like condition, material, and collection year - for every piece. There can be a wide range of price points in the items from the same brand or even among similar items.

Step Two: Analyze
Our pricing method uses historical and real-time data, proprietary models, and decades of human experience.

Step Three: Set Price
We can now identify a listing price that offers value to both the consignor and the shoppers. Our pricing models are optimized for items to sell within 90 days.

Step Four: Discount
Every item starts at the highest price our data and expertise tells us it could sell for. Over time, we adjust that price based on the engagement and demand. (FYI nothing is ever discounted within its first 48 hours on our site)
